Hear from our past participants

As a titled Pain and Musculoskeletal physiotherapist and busy business owner, I have to admit I had not been particularly open to mindfulness as a key clinical tool until I met Georgie and did her health professional training. I was so impressed and excited by the outcomes from the tools she shared, that I went on to do her 8 week MBSR training.
Georgie’s courses provide very powerful training for our own self care as well as an excellent tools to engage with our patients and healthcare teams. Georgie has a delightful, and engaging way of blending excellence in best evidence based practice in the areas of mindfulness, mindful movement and pain education which she combines powerfully with contemporary clinical practice from her many years of patient treatment experience.”

I want to let you know that your health practitioner course four years ago had a profound impact on me. Since engaging in it I have gone on to do a MBSR course and a 5 day silent retreat, slowly engaging in my own practice with an aim to eventually take on teacher training.
I have found incorporating mindfulness into my physio practice helpful on so many fronts. Thank you so much again for inspiring me to go down this path.

Human interaction has been fundamental in my role as a physiotherapist over the last 45 years. This has been both as a Titled Musculoskeletal clinician and a clinic owner.Thinking has been the strong driver. This has now been joined by awareness, the hidden piece of the puzzle which has been revealed expertly by Georgie with care in the MBSR course. Awareness is fundamental to wise action. The practice that develops it opens a new way of communicating with your client that further enables their best path towards better health. It also nurtures you.
Your open, curious mind will soon recognize it’s significant value, so take the opportunity, trust the process and reap the benefits.

Questions you may have about the program
_________________________
I have attended one of your courses before. Will I gain new skills? YES. Although there are some foundations skills across all the courses I deliver, this course has unique content. There is a focus on practice during the three days to enhance integration into practice.
How long do I have access to the materials?
YES. You have life-long access to the course workbook and recordings.
What knowledge and experience do I need to get started? Do I need to have done some mindfulness training?
All you need is a willingness to participate and learn new things. Previous mindfulness training is helpful but not required as this is built into the structure of the course.
I’m not a physio, can I still join?
YES. Health professionals from any discipline, interested in a body-based approach, are welcome to attend. You will learn how to implement the strategies in a way that is appropriate to your training and scope of practice.
